Assistant Professor of Design and Director of Graduate Studies at Boston University and Founder and Principle of Station, a design practice based in Rhode Island.

Professional practice in graphic design, strategy and experience design.

I am interested in a positive outlook for design, framing, and engaging opportunities instead of seeking problems to solve. My professional practice integrates graphic design, design thinking, strategy and experience design channeled through my design studio focused on action and impact. I begin with ideas, questions, and content, and then we bring in form, solution, outcomes, and impact.

My practice is collaborative and partnership-driven, built around the idea of WITH, not FOR. It is truly a partnership between my team, collaborators, and clients.

I work in traditional forms of graphic design: publication design, branding, visual identity design, web design, and experience design. Additionally, I deliver design thinking and strategy, where what I am offering is not a designed artifact necessarily, but written strategies, plans, and processes. Though in many cases, these paths of work are often interwoven. Working in this way allows me to be a longer-term partner—helping to find new opportunities for growth and change. While also donating time and expertise to nonprofit organizations that I believe in and love. I have been able to work with all scales of companies, from boutique shops to Fortune 100. I have been fortunate to work with Apple, American Express, Capital One, and the State of Rhode Island.

Pedagogy built on research, experimentation, and real-world experience.

My teaching experience ranges from introductory graphic design courses to Master's level thesis research. I strive to incorporate theory, research, and experimentation as core to the development of one's process at all levels. While connecting this process to real-world examples and how the experimental and speculative work can relate to practical applications.
